Apply to IHD 2024!
International Helsinki Days (IHD) is a seminar week organized for the 37th time 4.2- 11.2.2024 by the Student Union of Hanken School of Economics. Annually approximately 40 students from all around the world take part in the IHD seminar. The week is filled with interesting lectures, company visits, and a look into Finnish student life. At the same time, we create new friendships and become one big family! There is no participation fee for the attendees and all the costs are covered by IHD and its sponsors.
Applications to the International Helsinki Days 2024 seminar will be sent by email to ihdapplications@shs.fi by the 18th of December 2023, after which we will carefully consider all applications. Feel free to be creative (you can e.g. include a résumé, video clips, pictures, or links to social media accounts in your application). You need to AT LEAST provide the following information for your application to be accepted:
- Full name
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Telephone number
- University and major
- Year of graduation
- Allergies
- T-shirt size
- Contact person in case of emergency
- Contact person’s telephone number
- Do you have travel insurance?
- Two of your favorite things to do in your free time
- Describe Finland in three words
- Why are you interested in Finland?
And most importantly:
- A picture and a description of yourself
- Why should YOU be selected for the seminar?
- What are your expectations for the IHD week?

POINTS TO REMEMBER WHEN APPLYING:
- The IHD seminar will take place 4.2- 11.2.2024 in Helsinki, Finland.
- The IHD will cover accommodation, certain meals, and the costs for the seminars during the week. Other expenses, such as plane tickets to and from Helsinki, local transportation, and your personal purchases are NOT covered.
- Your application can be in any format but remember to provide us with the requested information.
- This information is used to screen the applicants and make necessary preparations for the week. Unfortunately, we can only accept a limited number of participants to the seminar - so be quick and apply today!
